Join Mandela Washington Fellows and local leaders for weekly roundtable discussions on realities and solutions to global challenges.

Each Expert Exchange will be open to the public and include an audience Q&A. Two roundtables will take place typically on Tuesday mornings, with a break for refreshments and networking between each roundtable.

Roundtable 1 (9:00-10:30AM)

 Can the Private Sector Improve Access and Delivery of Healthcare?

What is the role of the private sector in the provision of healthcare to communities in the U.S. and abroad? Participants will provide examples of innovative partnerships that have improved health outcomes for communities across the globe and share their perspectives on the constraints of private sector engagement and potential unintended consequences of such partnerships.

Roundtable 2 (11:00AM-12:30PM)

Maternal & Child Welfare: Challenges, Opportunities and Innovations

Advances in the provision of improved perinatal and postnatal care have improved the health of millions of women and children around the globe. Which advances have had the greatest impact?  What needs are still to be met? And what potential challenges and opportunities lie ahead?
